My name is Sofia. I’m from Sevastopol. My birthday is in February and I’m nine.
This summer I am fond of fishing. I fish on the coasts of the Black Sea in the Crimea.
[pic] One of the most common fish in my daily catch is "Sea Dog".
It is eatable but it isn't tasty. So, I throw it back to the sea.
I made some photos and decided to learn more about this fish.
It has lots of names in English: Shanny, Blenny, Clunny and Sea-frog.
It is a small fish with a green body and dark dots. Blenny's length is about 100-180 mm and its weight is 90-180 g.
B [pic] enny lives in rocks or shelters near coasts. It chooses a stone and defends it against other fishes.
It is interesting to know that Blenny can stay for some time without water during ebbs.
I think it is one of the most amazing fishes of the Black Sea.
