You know that there are many people so there are many opinions. They may be different especially about young people.
Let’s listen to the opinions of different people about young people. Your task is to define - Who do these opinions about young people belong to?
an elderly person, a middle-aged person, a teenager? –So, these are different opinions.
Sometimes young people face different problems. What are they? Let’s talk about them.
You’ll work in two groups - the1st group will think and write some problems,
the 2nd group will find solutions to problems. We’ll do a mini project. (2 миниплаката, маркеры)
Sometimes young people join groups or subcultures. Why do teens join a subculture? (обсуждение)
I need two pupils to make a dialogue about subcultures in Great Britain and act it out.
Put the conversation in right order and act it out.
- You know that our country is very developed. That is why
it is the cradle of different subcultures.
- Yes, and most of them are closely connected with
music, art and reflecting the history of Great Britain.
-I read much about this and can say that in the beginning of the 20th century
subcultures were not yet steady and numerous.
- I cannot understand the reason of their appearance and why they
gain more and more popularity?
- To my mind it's quite clear: these groupings provide a place
where different talents of young people could interact.
The rest of the class - I’ll give you small shirts of paper with a description of a subculture, read them, guess a subculture and find a person who has the text about the same subculture. Find your partner.

The main idea of their style is to look like vampires, witches or black magicians.
1. They like different kinds of music. But they prefer listening to black metal, gothic rock, or classical music. They enjoy different operas, musicals and songs, played by orchestras. Music can be aggressive or soft and melancholy – it doesn't matter. It must be full of deep sense. Lyrics are very important for them.

They are sensitive and they can be easily depressed. They are thin, tall, with pale faces, black haired, hair should be straight a fringe closing one eye.

Scream is a keyword of their favourite music. Whispering and crying are often heard in their song. Texts are about unhappy love, injustice the world which is full of violence and aggression.

To finish our work I’d like to read you the rhyme «Devotion» by Robert Frost
The heart can think of no devotion Greater than being shore to the ocean -
Holding the curve of one position,
Counting an endless repetition.
Постоянство.
Да будет сердце постоянно
Как будто берег океана,
Оставшийся самим собою
средь вечных перемен прибоя.
