Цель: - обобщить и систематизировать знания учащихся по теме «Ваше призвание»
- провести презентацию проектных работ учащихся по теме «Профессии»
Задачи:
Образовательные:
- активизировать употребление в речи учащихся лексику по теме «Профессии»
- развивать навыки аудирования с общим и детальным пониманием,
- развивать навыки поискового чтения,
- развивать навыки диалогической и монологической речи
- развивать лексико-грамматические навыки
Развивающие:
- развивать у учащихся умение анализировать свои личностные качества, применительно к данной профессии
- развитие умения представлять результаты своей деятельности (проектные работы)
Воспитательные:
- способствовать воспитанию понимания у учащихся важности и необходимости реализации своих умений и способностей через выбранную профессию
Тип урока: урок обобщения и систематизации знаний
Оборудование и оснащение урока: магнитофон, мультимедийный проектор, презентация в PowerPoint, проектные работы учащихся, раздаточный материал
Ход урока
1. Организационный момент.
- Good morning, children! I am glad to see you. Let’s begin our lesson.
2. Объявление целей урока, актуализация знаний.
- The subject of our lesson is “Jobs and professions”. You’ll present your project works, do tasks in listening, reading and speaking. I hope it will help you to choose your future profession which will suit you.
- Look at the screen. Do you know this man? - It’s Steve Jobs. – What do you know about him? (He has become a legend in the world of computers and gadgets and changed the way we all use technology. He helped to make personal computers and computer technology available to everyone.)
Read his quote: (Слайд 3)
Have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

- What do his words mean? – Can you interpret them?
(He believes that it’s absolutely important to find a job which will be fulfilling, otherwise you will become a dissatisfied person or a complete failure in life)
- Perhaps our lesson will help you make the right choice of a job.
- Let’s revise the words which describe jobs or people’s qualities and abilities.
- Take your sheets of paper. Let’s do ex.1. Read the task. (Here you can see a word square. Find the words that describe jobs or people’s qualities and abilities. There are 10 words all in all)
- What words have you found?

6. Беседа: – What can influence a person’s choice of a profession?

- Do you know anybody, for example, who followed in their parents’ steps?
(Dynasties of doctors, teachers, animal tamers, etc. For example: the dynasty of Zapashnyie, the Durov’s dynasty. They all work in the circus.)
- Do you know anybody whose hobby influenced a person’s choice of profession?
(Walt Disney’s hobby was drawing. Later he created a special animal world of cartoons. It had become his job.)
- How can a person’s character influence his choice of a job?
(For example, you are helpful, patient, are able to deal with people, compassionate. The ideal job for you is the job in which you work with people: a doctor, a teacher, a social worker, etc)
- How can the area where a person was born or lived influence a person’s choice of a profession?
(If a man lives in a seaside town, he can become a sailor or a fisherman.)

- We are going to read the text about Steve Jobs. Read the text and say what influenced his choice of a job. ( Ответ: His hobby and the area where he lived – “Silicon Valley”)

Steve Jobs was born on the 24-th of February, 1955, in San Francisco, California, and was adopted by Paul and Clara Jobs.
In 1961, the family moved to Mountain View, California. This area was becoming a centre of electronics, and soon people started to call it “Silicon Valley”. (This is because silicon is used to make all sorts of electronic parts.)
As a child, Steve Jobs spent a lot of time in the garage workshop of a neighbour who worked at Hewlett-Packard Explorer Club where he saw his first computer at the age of twelve. He was very impressed, and knew right away that he wanted to work with computers.
After high school, Jobs attended college in Portland, Oregon, but dropped out after his first semester to travel in India. When he returned to California, he learned that his high-school friend Steve Wozniak was building computers as a hobby. Wozniak has just invented the Apple I computer. In 1976 Jobs and Wozniak started Apple Computers. They worked out of Job’s garage.
The Apple II personal computer that they built next in 1977 appealed to both business and the public, it was an instant success.

Tell us about your partner’s possible choice of profession using either … or, neither … nor. Say why you think so. Let your partner agree or disagree.
Example: - Masha will become either a computer programmer or an accountant because she is good with figures.
- I will be neither a computer programmer nor an accountant because I don’t have good concentration.
5. Complete the gaps (1-7) with the correct derivative of the words in bold.
Finding a job is never easy. In times of high 1) ……....(employ), with more and more people chasing fewer and fewer jobs, it becomes even more difficult.
