Тема: «Город. Правила дорожного движения».
Подтема: Безопасность на дороге.
Тип урока: урок формирования умений и навыков
Практические задачи:
1) отработать употребление изученного лексического материала по теме: «Город. Правила дорожного движения»;
2) развивать умения и навыки устной монологической речи (подготовленной и неподготовленной); диалогической речи;
3) организовать чтение текста «In the city» и контроль понимания читаемого;
4) активизировать употребление повелительного наклонения the Imperative и модального глагола can/can't в речи учащихся.
Общеобразовательные задачи:
обеспечить в ходе урока закрепление изученного лексического материала по теме «Правила дорожного движения;
продолжить формирование навыков устной монологической и диалогической речи, навыков чтения, употребления изученного грамматического материала.
Развивающие задачи:
1) создать условия для развития таких аналитических способностей учащихся, как умение анализировать, сопоставлять, сравнивать, обобщать познавательные объекты, делать выводы;
2) развивать память, внимание, воображение учащихся;
3) содействовать формированию самостоятельной познавательной деятельности.
Воспитательные задачи:
содействовать развитию интереса к изучению иностранного языка;
содействовать повышению уровня мотивации на уроках через средства обучения;
содействовать воспитанию культуры общения, потребности в самовоспитании.

Ход урока
Начало урока.
Организационный момент:
- Good morning! I am very glad to see you! I hope you are well! Sit down please! Who is on duty today? What day is it today? Who is absent today? Thank you!
2. Сообщение темы и задач урока:
- Today we continue speaking about traffic rules, road safety, and different means of transport. But our today's lesson will be a little unusual for you. You will find yourselves in magic land - “ Traffic light ” and meet a magic square, a magic tree, a magic placard, a magic box on your way. Let’s begin.
3. Введение в иноязычную среду:
- Look at our magic screen, please! You see some English proverbs.
- Live and learn.
- More haste, less speed.
- One man, no man.
Your task is to find an equivalent to a Russian proverb «Тише едешь – дальше будешь!»
- And now try to find an equivalent to a Russian proverb «Поспешишь – людей насмешишь!»
- Well begun half done.
- Better late than never.
- Haste makes waste.
- Ok, great! Do you think these proverbs refer to our today's topic? Why? And what about these words? Guess what words are hidden here?

- So, let's remember some words and word combinations that you have already learnt at our previous lessons. Open your books on the page 26, look at the ex.1. Please, repeat after me:
- parking zone; traffic lights, pedestrian, pavement, traffic warden, yellow lines, traffic sign, zebra crossing, wear a seat belt, keep the traffic rules.

Актуализация опорных знаний изученного лексического материала
игра «Find a pair»:
- Look at the screen please. You see two columns with words. Try to find a pair for each word in the right column from the words in the left column.

(Wear a seat belt, walk straight across the road, drive a car, look both ways, run onto the road, talk to a driver, ride a bike, walk on the pavement).
Игра «Find a word»:
Развитие навыков монологической речи учащихся.
Look at the screen. You see a magic placard. There are true and false statements in it. Your task is to agree or disagree with the following statements and prove (motivate) your answer.
Be very, very careful when you cross the street.
Always run over the street.
Don ’t play in the street.
First use your feet, not eyes and ears.
Cross the street when the light is green.
Look to the left, to the right, then look up and check up the light.
Don’t wait for the cars to stop.
When all the cars have stopped it’s time for you to go.
Walk between the lines.
10. A driver must not reduce speed in the central street.
b) - And now it is your turn to tell me what is good and what is bad on the road. There is a magic tree on your way. There are different green and red sheets of paper on it. Come and take any of these sheets of paper. If you take a green sheet you should tell me what you can do on the road and if you take a red sheet you will tell us what can't do on the road.
3. Физкультминутка.
- Are you tired? Let’s do some exercises! Stand up please! Look at me and do like me!
Up, down, up, down. (руки вверх, вниз)
Which is the way to London Town? (шагаем на месте)
Where? Where? (руку к глазам, повороты влево, вправо)
Up in the air, (смотрим вверх)
Close your eyes (закрываем глаза)
And you are there! (разводим руки в стороны)
4. Организация чтения текста “In the City” и контроль понимания его содержания:
- At home you had to read and to translate the text “In the City”. Now let’s read it all together and then you will answer my questions:
In the city (town).
1. In the streets, roads and squares of the town we see people walking, and vehicles( [vi:Klz] - транспорт) driving. The vehicles are trams, buses, trolley-buses, taxis and other motorcars, motor-scooters ([sKu.tdz]-мотороллеры) and bicycles.
2. In England, vehicles drive on the left. In our country the traffic drives on the right.
3. Along the streets we also see bus stops, trolley-bus and tram stops, where people get on and off. People wait at the stops for buses, trams and trolley-buses. They get on and off public transport.
4. At big crossroads in large towns and cities, there are subways for pedestrians, and flyovers for vehicles. (подземные переходы для пешеходов и эстакады для транспорта).
5. In England, vehicles drive on the left. In our country the traffic drives on the right.
- Tell me please what means of transport can you see in the streets?
- Where does the traffic drive in England? And in our country?
- Where do people wait for buses, trams, trolley-buses?
- What exists for pedestrians and for vehicles in large towns and cities ?
5 . Закрепление изученного материала по теме «Правила дорожного движения»:
- Oh, who is knocking? Come here! Here comes the magician with a magic box. (волшебная коробка, где лежит книжка «Правила дорожного движения»)
- What a big box you have! What is it? Do you want to get to know?
Magician – It is for you, children. But first guess, what is it there?
P2 – For us? What is it?
M – There is my present for you. Every day you go to school and you should keep traffic rules. You must be always safe. Let us study them, remember and try always use them correctly but some of them are not correct. Be very, very attentive and use the Imperative with the phrases “on a bus” and the verb “can” or “can’t” with the phrases “in the street”.
( - Вы вспомните еще раз правила поведения на улице и в общественном транспорте).

You drop the litter.
You keep silent.
You give up your seat to the old people.
You make much noise.
You obstruct the door.

1.You run over the street.
You first look left then right.
