Task 1

For Questions 1-15, read the text below and decide which answer, A, B, C or D best fits each space.

Clever Hans

Hans the horse was (0) C in 1900 by Wilhelm von Osteen, a retired German schoolmaster, who was convinced that animals (1) …….. an intelligence equal to that of humans.
