Procedure

I. Introduction. The importance of role- play at the English lesson.

Ролевая игра —  [link] You had a lot of problems with me, but you enjoyed everything I did, didn’t you?

M. I have so much living to do. I need to watch my grandchildren grow up. I don’t want to miss it. You see, son, they are the part of me too.

S. Sure, you won’t miss it.

M. You know, Son, I am so happy to be here with you. Just you and me.

(We talked about everything: children, health, weather, work, just what occurred to us. Our conversation was “milk and water.” We were just beating about the bush. But I’ve got so much enjoyment, pleasure, satisfaction I never had.)

A. Now they are at home. And they are full of emotions. Listen to them.

M. The restaurant was OK. Small and cosy, wonderful music, white cloth, not so many people there - the one I like. I remember the time when we three- my husband, my son and me- used to go there, enjoyed meal and the opportunity to be together. Unfortunately, my husband died but we went going there, my son and me.

S. I told her about my trials at work and brag about the kids and Peggy. We also talked about the future. Because of health problems, my Mum worried about the days ahead, about grandchildren. We had an agreeable conversation, nothing extraordinary, but catching up on recent events of each other’s life.

A. I guess those were the most touching and unforgettable moments of their lives. Both were happy, really happy. They talked about everything and so much that they missed the movie. But the movie wasn’t an issue. When the date came to a close she told her son she would like to invite him to dine with her some day. But that day hasn’t come. They have never met again, but it has left an unforgettable impression.

A. They parted.

S. It was so wonderful.

M. It was great.

S. Nothing can replace time spent with Mum.

M. I understood what my son with all his trifles meant for me.

S. I understood what my Mum meant for me.

M. Dinner was more than I could imagine.

S.I enjoyed every minute being with my Mum.

M. Only God knows what this dinner meant for me.

S. Only God knows what this dinner meant for me.

M. Thank you, Son, for being and communicating with.

S. Sadly, to my great regret, my Mum died of a heavy heart attack.

It happened so unexpectedly. I could do nothing about it, but I received an envelope with the copy of a restaurant check from the very restaurant where I had dined with her. It said:

M. I had heart problems. My illness was incurable. So. I decided to do something special for you, my Son.

I paid this bill in advance in the same restaurant. I wasn’t sure I could be there, but nevertheless I paid for two plates-one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me. I love you, son

S. At that moment I understood the importance of saying in time: “I love you” and to give our loved ones the time they deserve. Nothing in life is more important than your family. Give them the time they deserve because these things cannot be put off till “some other time». Nothing is more important than a family.

A. We do hope this story has melted our hearts and taught us to be caring, helpful and attentive to our mums. Crowing it all we want to say

The god can’t be with us all the time and he invented Mum

S. Spending time with Mum has taught me the importance of slowing down.

A. Cherish the time spent with your Mum.

M. .Cherish the time spent with your parents and don’t forget to say “I love you”

M. This touching story teaches us to treat our mums to something special before

It’s too late.

A. This story has taught us that “some day” doesn’t always come.

M. “Some day” doesn’t always come. “Act now, lest for you and your tomorrow

not come.

S. We shouldn’t waste a moment because you never know what tomorrow brings.

M. “Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming

gardeners who make our souls blossom”

S. We forget to do such small things which have such a beautiful impact.

A. Don’t delay, do it just in time.

Conclusion

A. Now role - play goes on.

Occasionally you were in the same restaurant and have seen those two people. Now you feel free to express your personal opinions. What are your impressions?

Life has its funny ways...sometimes it tells us things and we put them at that end part of our schedule where they are easily forgotten...time waits for nobody...

Very moving heart-warming story
