  1. Christianity is the world's biggest religion, with about 2.2 billion followers worldwide.

  2. The founder of Christianity is Jesus Christ

  3. There are three main branches of Christianity — the Catholic Church, the Church of England and the Orthodox Church. 

  4. Those who follow Islam are called Muslims.

  5. Muslims take off their shoes before entering the mosque and use prayer mats to kneel on them.

  6. During Ramadan all Muslims across the world do not eat during the hours of daylight.


  1. The founder of Judaism is Abraham who is
    regarded as the father of Jewish people.

  2. Moses was the leader of Jews who freed them from slavery in Egypt.

  3. Men are required to cover their heads. 

  4. He was born into a royal family and for many years lived within the palace away from sufferings of life.

  5. He found the path to Enlightenment and became known as the Buddha or "awakened one"

  6. Buddhists believe that there is a cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth.


  1. Through its missionary activity Christianity has spread to most parts of the world.

  2. The Christian place of worship is a Church, also a Chapel and a Cathedral.

  3. Islam is the second most popular religion in the world with over a thousand million followers.

  4. Women do not pray in the same place as men.

  5. Jews see Abraham as a symbol of trusting and obeying God.

  6. This day starts at sunset on Friday and continues until sunset on Saturday.

  7. Buddhism began in India and is based on the teaching of the Buddha.

  8. Meditation means training the mind to empty it of all thoughts.
