Psychologist state following theory, which we totally agree with because, can be easily proved: having certain preoccupations (hobbies) makes your life quality grow by enhancing the level of happiness.
Recreation refers to the time spent in an activity one loves to engage in, with intent to feel refreshed. It is a break from monotony and a diversion from the daily routine. It is a positive change from the stereotypical lifestyle and involves an active participation in entertaining activities that one is interested in. Recreational activities give enjoyment because, while recreating one engages in something he likes. They are a source of joy and they provide relaxation to one`s mind and body.
Why do people have hobbies? Firstly, they want to have a good and quality time. A hobby helps people to relax after work or school.
Having a hobby people realize themselves in different ways. For young children and teenagers it is a way to develop their skills and talent and of course to keep them away from things like drugs, alcohol and bad company. Doing a hobby stimulates your brain.
