Describing photo using adjectives. Model answer.

I have chosen photo number 1. It's really a perfect place to rest, isn't it? I've made this photo in Thailand where we have spent two weeks last October. Here you can see a solitary paradise beach with clean white sand and clear calm water without turbulent waves. [pic]

It's an enigmatic island in the sea far from the noisy towns. Our hotel was small but gorgeous and there were few people there this time of the year. Besides, the beach was not crowded as it was midday and people went eating and sleeping as it was too hot to stay in the sun.  In the foreground you see five sun beds, waiting for us, the blue diamond-like sea and white clouds far away in the sky.

I have made this photo as it was the first day when the sea was so calm and comforting. We usually took all the activities we could: swimming, surfing and even parachuting or paragliding. This day we decided to spend some hours relaxing and enjoying the bright sun, the beautiful beach, the serene emerald water, the exotic landscape. We have been here early in the morning and decided to come again after five o'clock.
In my opinion, I have made a fascinating photo in my album. It will remind me about the happy days of my rest.

Try to insert as many adjectives as you can to make the description more vivid.

Comparing two photos

[pic]

Both photos show a beach, but they are very different.
I suppose it’s summer, because the weather is nice and sunny and everyone is wearing summer clothes.
In the photo on the right, the beach is next to the city. There are a lot of people sunbathing. It’s really crowded. In the background I can see many high buildings. The sea is on the left and it’s full of bathers. The sand is on the right and there are a lots of colourful beach umbrellas.

I think it’s a modern big city, it seems a lively place.
On the other hand, in the photo on the left, the beach is far from the city, and there are few people. At the back you can see green mountains and some little houses. The sea is on the right, there is no one bathing. On the right corner, there are two women next to rocks, they seem very relaxed, they are sunbathing in sun beds and they are reading a book. They look like friends; it looks as if they are having a great time.
The scene in the photo on the right looks very noisy and it’s packed with people, while in the photo on the left, it looks very peaceful and quiet.
Personally, I prefer the photo on the left, because it looks like a perfect place to spend a summer’s day. I love going to the beach and swimming in the sea, but I don’t like beaches which are close the city, and the crowds.

I’ve chosen picture number 2.

I’ve made it when me and my brother with his fiancée went for an incredible cruise abroad. He was proposing to her at that touchy moment.

In the foreground, obviously, you can see this sweet couple. They are sitting on the white sand on the bank of the sea. My brother is holding her hand and looks a little bit nervous. She seems really shy but she keeps her smile on the face.

In the background there is really a peaceful and charming landscape. The green colour of the trees contrasts with the emerald water and yellow sand beautifully. Weird but super gorgeous nature caught my eye immediately when I saw it.

I took this photo because it was really a touching and very important moment for my brother.

Of course I will show it to our parents. They have to know how and when this happened.
