You can reach England either by plane, by train, by car or by ship. The fastest way is by plane. London has three international airports. Heathrow is London's major airport. It opened in 1929 as a small base for flight test and became an international airport in 1946. Gatwick is London's second airport after Heathrow. It opened in 1930. Stansted is London's third airport. It's 30 miles of north of London. It opened in 1942 as a base for the American Air Force during the second World War.
The fastest way to traveling is by taxi. London taxis are driven by the best drives in the world; each has to pass exam to prove he has detailed knowledge of the city before receiving a license. Their special shape and black colour are famous all over the world. The black cabs as they are called have became the symbol of London. London drivers have green badges on their jackets.
