Introduction

No matter where you were on the globe, you are sure to hear all the English language.

The relevance of the choice of the topic due to the fact that English is popular all over the world, as the global international community language.

The purpose of research - to study the origins of the English language and its role in the world, in the life of modern people in our time.

The object of study - English.

Subject of research - the role of the English language in the world community.

Extended aim of the study identified the following problems:

Study materials teaching materials, Internet resources, is elucidated the role of English in the modern world.

Analyze Internet forums material to study the role of English in the life of my peers.

Globalization and the development of the Internet lead to communication between representatives of different nations; knowledge of communication features helps to

better understand each other, more complementing the knowledge of the

language. Affected problem we are interested in people whose future in one way or another connected with the necessity of direct contact with the English whether studying abroad, work or tourism. This work will help to prove that the role of English is not exaggerated in the media in the world.

Why English has become so popular around the world? How often and where people use English ? How does the Russian language with the appearance in it the English words? Whether English is useful for us? I wanted to find answers to these in-questions. I read a lot of books, picking up material on the Internet, talking to parents, teachers, relatives living in England. As a resul,t of the work done learned a lot of new and interesting. I believe this work may cause concern. I want to share in the collected information with everyone present.



CHAPTER I.

ENGLISH LANGUAGE IN THE WORLD COMMUNITY



Sometime in the 19th century, the international language of communication between people and nations was French. But already on the incident of the century, ie in the 20th century the use of French as an international came down to a minimum, and in its place came the English language, which to this day is recognized as the international language .

 Of all the existing languages, English is more likely to become international nym. The total number of languages ​​in the world is enormous: between 4000 and 4500. So, we believe that the future of the world's language is determined. Some people try to deny it, are offering Esperanto for these purposes. As for Esperanto, it can not be a world language, because it is a synthetic language and people refuse to study it.

The most common in the world of language becomes English. It is the mother tongue of 500 million people in 12 countries. Another 600 million speak English as a second language. And hundreds of millions have defined-lennymi knowledge of English, which has official or poluofitsial-tion about the status in 62 countries.

 The English language is undoubtedly more widespread geographically. Today, English is spoken by approximately 1.5 billion people in the world.

2.2 Top moments of motivation to learn English modern undergrowth

In order to clarify the role of the English language in the life of students around the world, I used materials of various Internet forums devoted to relations-NIJ students to learn foreign languages ​​in general and English in particular.

The main reasons for learning English advanced students as follows:

English is taught at school;

English is necessary for work;

English is required for using the Internet;

English is useful for listening to and understanding English songs;

for reading books, magazines and newspapers written in English;



2.3 The English language in the life of my peers

In his study, I tried to analyze the trends in the neсessity English. Since English is a mandatory school subject for study, I conducted a survey of 49 of their peers (students grade 5), in order to determine the role played by English in their lives, and how interesting this school subject for them.

For this profile, "English language in my life" has been offered to students. In this questionnaire, the children were asked to select up to three possible answers.

(Texts profiles can be found in Appendix 3).

The most popular answers were:

for the use of the Internet - 36 answers;

listen to popular music - 27 answers;

to communicate with foreign friends - 24 response;

Language study for future occupation - 18 replies;

for the fun and enjoyment - 18 answers;





Other students' responses:

Teachers make - 9 answers;

Reading books in the original - 6 answers;

undecided - 6 answers.

Analyzing the data, I came to the conclusion that among my peers learning English is practical. Students learn English, that listen to the songs of your favorite singer or read an article about your favorite fil-me. Since at this age the main thing is communication, the students prefer to communicate not only with your friends, but also with their peers from other countries, and to help them in this is the Internet. The graph shows that a large portion of the students did not bind-knowledge of the English language with a future profession, probably for the reason that they have not yet decided on the choice of profession.





Conclusions on Chapter II



A few years ago, English was seen by all as a foreign language. But with the increased so much that now it is considered to be the world international time the role of the English language. Learning English for most of us becomes Xia, almost the biggest problem in my life. The value of English in modern life is very difficult revaluation thread.
