LET’S PLAY!

Explain the game. The pupils sit, preferable in a circle. Put the vocabulary cards in the middle so that everyone can see them. Then one pupil turns his/her back to the rest of the group. The group chooses one of the card to be removed. Te pupil then turns around to face the centre of the circle, and has to find which card is missing.

PROJECT TIME

Refer the pupils to the project. Elicit the items. Ask the pupils to draw and colour their favourite toys/ Assign the project as homework. During the next lesson, the pupils present their projects to the class. Make sure you display their work somewhere in the classroom. Then help them file their drawings in their Language Portfolios.

Photocopies of the vocabulary cards

Divide the class into pairs. Tell the pupils that you are moving and they have to help you move the furniture of your room. Assign an item to each pair, e.g. a TV set to one pair, a bed to another, etc. The pupils mime moving the item across the room to a designated spot where a supposed removal van is.
