| ORGANISATION MOMENT: Warm up activity Pat a pupil on the shoulder. The pupil introduces him/herself and the rest of the class greet him/her. P1: Hello, I’m Beksultan. Cl: Hello, Beksultan.

Middle 25 minutes

| MAIN: Presentation and practice Pupil’s books closed. Put up the Smiles poster on the board. Point to Lily and say: Lilly. The pupils repeat, chorally and individually. Follow the same procedure and present the rest of the characters. Explain to the pupils L1 if necessary, that Liam and Lilly are brother and sister and that Charlie is their pet. Refer the pupils to the words. Point to and read the word hello. Ask the pupils to colour it in using any colours they like. Repeat with the word good bye. T: Hello, I’m Venera Batyrbekovna. What’s your name? P1: Hello, I’m Beksultan. T: Good bye, Beksultan P1: Good bye , VB T: Who’s she? Cl: Nanny Rose. T: Who’s he? Cl: Liam
Ask pupils to leave while waving and saying goodbye. There smiley faces are on the board. (happy and sad) T. suggests choosing any smiley face. Ss will choose one and put on their desks. [pic] [pic] |
