II. Warming up:

What does your name mean?

Using whatever resources they have at hand, students find and write down an appropriate adjective that begins with each letter of their first name. For example: F-lirtatious, R-elaxed, E- xtrovert, D- esirable.

III. Checking the homework:

T: Our new theme is the verb “ be going to”. Look at the blackboard. Here you can see table of the verb “be going to”.

Yes, we/you/they are. No, we/you/they aren`t.


We use be going to:

  • to talk about plans and intensions.

We are going to travel to France next summer.

  • when there is evidence that something is going to happen in the future.

Look at the grey clouds. It is going to rain tonight.
