Цели: - продолжить знакомство с обычаями и традициями англоязычных стран, развивать самостоятельность в поиске и реализации культуроведческой информации в виде текстов, стихов, песен, отражающих языковые особенности и реалии страны изучаемого языка;
- совершенствовать навыки аудирования и говорения;
- воспитывать уважение к иноязычной культуре.
Участники : 8 – 9 классы.
Оборудование: валентинки, шары, музыкальный центр,компьютер,мультимедийный проектор,плакаты.
Сценарий праздника
I.Организационный момент.
Teacher: Good-afternoon, dear guests, it is lovely to meet you here . First of all, I want to ask you:

Today we’ll tell about Love, about different Love. What holidays do you know?

O’k. What holiday shall we celebrate in February?
It is St.Valentine’s Day. (P) (for example)
You are right. On the 14-th of February people celebrate a beautiful holiday, which is loved by adult and children. Great Britain has a lot of traditions and customs on this holiday.
Ведущая 1: On February 14 millions of people will receive Valentine cards – paper or electronic, sentimental or comic, in verse or in prose. This day for exchanging love messages, chocolates, roses and promises.

The first group had to find poems about Mother’s Love or Love to mother/
The second group had to translate them.
The third group had to find poems about love to God.
The Fourth group had to learnt by heart these poems.
