Theme: My school day

Type of the lesson: combined

Aims: 1. Teaching: to introduce pupils Comparative: long adjectives and new words and theme;

2. Developing: to develop pupils thinking skills and enrich their knowledge and vocabulary;

3. Bring – up: to bring up to interest in learning English, and pupils feeling of international friendship.

Visual aids: interactive board,

Connection of the lesson: Kazakh, Russian, Mathematics.

Methods: understanding, speaking, introduction, thinking.

Literature: “English” by Ayapova, Abildaeva.


The procedure of the lesson:

  1. Organization moment:

  • Good morning, pupils!

  • Good morning, teacher!

  • Who is on duty today?

  • I’m on duty today. Today is the 7th of December. All are present.

  • Sit down, please.


  1. Checking – up the home task:

  • Pupils, what was your home task?

  • Your home task: write the adjectives and watch the time.

  • Are you ready?

  • Yes, we are ready.


  1. Warm – up:

- Now, pupils look at the class and answer the questions.

1. Who is the best pupil in your class?

2. Who has got the longest hair?

3. Who is the tallest pupil?

4. Who is the shortest pupil?

5. Who is the cleverest pupil?


  1. New theme:

  • Now, pupils open your copybook write down today’s date and theme. We are speak schools day. Today’s theme “My school day”. First of all let me introduce the new words:

Time-table – қоңырау кестесі

Subjects – пәндер

Registration – тіркеу

Important – маңызды

Remember – есте сақтау


  • Now, pupils let me introduce the new grammar theme: Comparative: long adjectives.

  • Көп буынды сын есімдерге салыстырмалы шырайда “more” жалғауы жалғанады, ал күшейтпелі шырайда “the most” жалғауы жалғанады.

  • Example: interesting – more interesting – the most interesting

My school day

On Monday I usually get up at 7.30. I have my breakfast and leave home at 8.15. Lessons start at 9.15 after registration and assembly. The first lesson is French. It’s difficult fir many pupils, especially pronunciation. There are a lot of boys in our class who don’t like French. At 10.10 we have History. I think it’s an important subject because we learn a lot of interesting things about the history of our country. Then there is a 15-minute break. After the break we have two lessons of Maths. It’s my favourite subject. I’m good at it. At 11.50 we go to the canteen to have lunch. After lunch the next lesson starts at 12.45. It’s Geography. My friend likes this subject but for me it’s really difficult to remember geographical names. At 1.40 we have English. At this lesson we write a lot. I hate it. The last lesson is Art. It starts at 2.30 and finishes at 3.30. All the pupils in our class love Art, expert my friend Mick. It’s a pity that we have Art once a week.
