Урок в 6 классе по теме «Hello, Doctor Drew!»

Цель урока: 

 Практическая: ознакомить и отработать употребление лексических единиц по теме “Болезни, их симптомы и лечение» в речи учащихся.

Образовательная: развивать навыки устной речи, аудирования. Повторить правила образования предложений в Past Simple. Совершенствование умения высказываться логично и связно, продуктивно, умение анализировать и выражать свое мнение, описывать происходящие события.

Развивающая: развивать воображение, фантазию, творческое мышление, речевые способности, способность логически излагать, развивать умения сравнивать, анализировать, воображать. Формировать языковые навыки учащихся, развитие умения работать в парах.

Воспитательная: Учить учащихся бережно относиться к здоровью. Воспитание уважения к мнению других, умения слушать.

Тип урока:  Урок закрепления знаний

Используемое оборудование: 

Мультимедийная презентация (работа учителя), карточки с заданиями для парной работы.



Ход урока.

I.     Организационный момент. 

-- Good morning, children!

-- Glad to see you. (We are glad to see you, too.)

-- How are you all today? (We are fine, thank you. How are you?)

-- I’m fine, thanks.

-- Беседа о погоде, о хобби, дети называют число и день недели.

II. Сообщение целей урока. Речевая разминка.

T– Answer the questions.

  • Do you eat a lot of fruit and vegetables? 

  • Do you do morning exercises?

  • Do you usually get enough sleep?

  • Did you get a cold last winter?

  • Did you have flu last month?

  • Did you have a toothache last week?

T - Can you guess what we’ll speak about today? -- We will speak about health. -- We are going to talk about diseases, their symptoms and how to cure them. -- We are going to revise our grammar material and words.

III. Фонетическая зарядка.

. Read the poem after me! Who can repeat?

Jake’s got a headache.

Tom’s got flu.

Jimmy’s got stomachache.

They can’t go to school.

Mum’s got toothache.

Dad’s got a cold.

Granny’s got backache.

She’s very old.

They stayed at home.

I wish I could too.

IV. Введение новой лексики и её активизация в речи.

Ex. 1, p. 210. T – Listen to the words and expressions and repeat them after the speaker.


2. Fill in vowels and you can read this words

Ex. 2, p. 210. T – Read the boss’s letter and help Agent Cute find the robber. Use the given words.


V. Повторение пройденного грамматического материала.

  1. 2 форма неправильных глаголов.

Put the letters in the verbs in the correct order and read them:

aws, tog, adh, newt, lefl, emca, wams, eta, rokeb, ptsle.

  1. Let’s say what happened with the Dr Drew’s patients yesterday. Use the verbs in Past Simple:

T – Now, ex. 3, p. 211-212. Look at the pictures and find out why they are ill.

Use these expressions: have a birthday party, to be hungry, to go for a walk, to climb the tree, to fall down, to eat a lot of ice-creams, to swim in the river, to sleep in the fridge, to rob a bakery.

VII. Практика аудирования. Разучивание песни.

Now we'll work with our computer. Look at the screen. These are 4 questions. Listen carefully the first part of the poem "Hello, Doctor Drew!" and try to answer these questions. You should listen only 2 times. Let’s start! –Read the 1-st question. Have you got an answer? Come to the blackboard and write down your answer.

Read the 2-nd question.

На доске: go to hospital, stay in bed, take some medicine(cough syrup, nose drops), drink a lot of milk (juice, tea, water) Учащиеся на доске записывают свои ответы.

Listen to the 2-nd part of the poem "Hello, Doctor Drew!" and check your answer.

Look at the 4-th answer. Is it right?

VIII. Развитие навыков устной речи.

T - When we have a health problem we need an advice. Match the problem and the advice.

1. I’ve got a toothache. A) - You should visit a dentist. Don’t eat sweets and cakes.

2. I have a sore throat. B) - You should stay in bed and drink a lot of water (juice,

milk). Always wear warm clothes in cold weather.

3. I’ve got a temperature. C) - You should stay in bed for 2 weeks and take some

medicine. Honey with milk will be good for you.

4. I’ve got a stomachache. D) - You should call the doctor. Don’t eat a lot of hot dogs

and pizzas.

5. I’ve got flu. E) - You mustn’t eat ice-creams. You must take some

medicine.

T - If we have health problems we visit a doctor.

Imagine one of you is a doctor and the other is a patient and has a health problem

Make up your own dialogues, after 5 minutes we’ll listen to them.

P1 - What’s the matter with you?

P2 -- I’ve got a stomachache.

P1: - How long have you been ill?

P2: - For a day.

P1:- You should take these medicines and stay in bed.

IX. Подведение итогов урока. Рефлексия.

T – Now, let’s sum up what we’ve done today at the lesson.


Hometask: ex. A, p. 213.

An apple a day keeps a doctor away. Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. Health is better than wealth.

Teacher:

As usual at first we shall practice some sounds.
