Урок в 8 классе по английскому языку

Around the UK

Цели урока:

  • Развивать навыки диалогической и монологической речи; развивать умения планировать свое высказывание;

  • Закрепить полученные знания, активировать в речи устойчивые выражения, клише, лексический материал по теме;

  • Воспитывать интерес к культуре изучаемого языка.

Литература: учебник Л. М. Лапицкая, Н. В. Демченко «Английский язык», Мн. 2010;

Оформление: карта Великобритании, флаги англоговорящих стран: Шотландии, Уэльса, Англии, Ирландии; символика всех частей Великобритании: чертополох, кислица, красная роза, нарцисс; картинки с изображением достопримечательностей Лондона; картинки с изображением телефонной будки, такси, двухэтажных автобусов, полицейских.

Оборудование: мультимедийная установка.

  1. I have some pictures with different places of interests of GB. Choose any you like most of all. Now turn over the picture you have chosen, you may see the number, number 1 is the 1t team, number 2 is the 2d team.

  • Let have a competition. It’s a good chance for you to show your knowledge and to get as many points as you can during our travelling.


  1. So we have 2 teams. I give some minutes to you to think over the name of your team and then introduce it for us.

If you want to visit the UK, you should pronounce the words and sentences quickly and pronounce the sounds correctly. Let’s have the Tongue Twister Contest. You have 4 Tongue Twisters for every participant in each team. You will get a point for good reading. Practice for a minute. Mind the speed and pronunciation! You may see them at the screen. Present your Tongue Twisters.

1 team – Never trouble about trouble until trouble troubles you!

2 team – When you write copy you have the right to copyright the copy you write.

1 team – Betty Botter had some butter, But she said, "This butter's bitter. If I bake this bitter butter, It would make my batter bitter. But a bit of better butter – That would make my batter better."

2 team – She sells sea shells by the seashore. The shells she sells are surely seashells. So if she sells shells on the seashore, I’m sure she sells seashore shells.

2 team A good cook could cook as much cookies. As a good cook who could cook cookies.
