P1: Cars, factories and power stations cause air pollution that is gathered in clouds. The winds carry acid clouds across long distances. When it rains this pollution lands on the trees and buildings and everywhere.

P2: The rivers, seas and soil become polluted. As a result, lots of fish and plant species are poisoned or wiped out. People also start to have breathing problems.

(What governments are doing & what we can do)

P3: Governments are trying to reduce air pollution and to make industries use new technologies. We can help by using our cars less or by using solar power to heat our homes.

ИТОГИ: Тема урока оказалась близка подросткам, так как проблема загрязнения окружающей среды очевидна не только взрослым, но и волнует подрастающее поколение, поэтому не составило большого труда заинтересовать ребят темой и вовлечь их в ее обсуждение. На данном уроке учащиеся смогли поработать с материалами учебника (только при работе с выделенными словами в тексте “Acid Rain”(уч.: с.77), часть слов для объяснения перешла в домашнее задание, т.к. на выполнение учащимся всего задания в классе потребовалось бы в два раза больше времени), успешно выполнить дополнительные задания, прослушать текст и высказать свое мнение по проблеме, а самостоятельная формулировка темы урока через работу с картинками и наводящими вопросами помогла обеспечить высокую мотивацию и составить представление о следующих разделах модуля.
