Post – lesson reflection note
My lesson was based on the study of grammar structures. This lesson was organized in the third form. All students in this group are ten years old. The students have a mixed learning style. They are intelligent, ready to learn and are interested in getting new knowledge. Their success in learning English is based on their work and they do it with pleasure. Our course-book is «Student’s book. English» by I. N. Vereshchagina and T. A. Pritykina. The theme of the lesson was «Food». It was the twenty – fifth lesson in Basic Course. We began our work with the phonetic warm – up and then wrote new words: vegetables, fruit, bread, cheese, porridge, carrots, potato, salt. I used picture cards and games Echo and “What is missing” or “Disappearing cards” for the better learning of new words. Our grammar topic was «countable and uncountable nouns», we also made up sentences with much/many. For the practice we used ex.1 on p. 77 from our course – book and every pupil did it without any mistake. Then children also did ex. 99 – 103 on p. 63 – 65 and ex.105 on p. 66 from «Grammar of English Language» by E.A.Barashkova, it would help them to develop knowledge. Pupils worked with pleasure and were interested in learning this material. I was satisfied with the lesson and the pupils’ productive work.
